The South Yorkshire Branch of NARF has over 440 members and our aims are:
- To promote and safeguard the interest of our members, and their dependants.
- To promote members welfare, and social contacts.
- To maintain links between retired friends and former colleagues
- To maintain links with South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue
There are two meeting groups in the South Yorkshire Branch cover the areas of:
- Barnsley and Doncaster, and
- Sheffield and Rotherham.
However, all members are entitled attend the meetings of either group.
National Association of Retired Firefighters membership is currently set £0.70p per member, per calendar month, and all former members of SYFR may join the Association via this site.
Subscriptions:
Subscriptions are deducted by the Payroll Section of South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue on a monthly basis from your pension payment, and paid directly to the NARF South Yorkshire Treasurer.
Your annual subscription of £8.40 (£0.70 pence per month) is used in the following manner:
£1.40 per member is used to assist in maintenance of your chosen meeting group.
£7.00 per member is paid to the National Association to assist them in promoting and fulfilling the aims of the Association.

If you are a member and you wish to continue to receive the NARF Newsletter and all other information, please make sure you update your home address by informing the Membership Treasurer of any changes as South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue do not automatically inform us of any address updates.
